What we do

Every day in every part of our community, we help people in Austin and Travis County meet their needs across their lifespan. Some of what we do includes:

  • Immunizations
  • Shelter
  • Food and clothing help
  • Help for new families and children
  • Getting ready for emergencies
  • And job help

We’ve earned national accreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board. This means that Austin Public Health meets or exceeds public health standards established by this non-profit, non-governmental board.

Our mission

Our mission is to prevent disease, promote health, and protect the well-being of our community.
